SEMIOTICS

So semiotics do play an important role in the music videos because as there are no dialouges so, the whole story line is shown through cinematics and camera work.So then semiotics come in which help to deliver the narrative to the audience easily. 

Semiotics basically is study of the symbols and signs that portray a basic as well as a deeper meaning. So in the music video there are gonna be such symbols and signs which are linked and have meaning which needs to be understood by audience itself.
